WLS cannot deploy from console

Trying to deploy a WAR from netbeans to WebLogic works, but from the web console and command line the app would throw stupid java exceptions like:

The import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest cannot be resolved
String cannot be resolved to a type

Please help
